The Japan Sichuan-Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce and its affiliated Japan Sichuan-Chongqing Association Co., Ltd. are actively supporting Chinese industries and products entering the Japanese market. During the Suining Industrial Cooperation (Japan Session) Investment Promotion Conference held in Tokyo, multiple agreements were facilitated. On September 10, Japan Sichuan-Chongqing Association Co., Ltd. signed a trade order worth 500 million RMB with Sichuan Pengxiangji Food Technology Co., Ltd., marking a significant milestone after years of effort.
This export trade agreement signifies that Sichuan’s seasoning and sauce products will officially enter the Japanese market on a large scale. According to Li Yongnan, Executive President of the Japan Sichuan-Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce and Representative Director of Japan Sichuan-Chongqing Association Co., Ltd., the Chamber carefully selected Chinese products suitable for export to Japan. During recent evaluations, Sichuan Pengxiangji Food Technology Co., Ltd. stood out as a leading company. The Chamber was deeply impressed by Pengxiangji’s product selection, quality control, and flavor development, which ultimately led to the decision for deeper cooperation.

Li stated: “Our next step will be to showcase Sichuan and related products at the Tokyo Sichuan-Chongqing Association Hall, located just a 3–5 minute walk from Akihabara Station. Serving as the bridgehead for the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle in Japan, we will make every effort to support the export of Sichuan-Chongqing products to Japan.”

Regarding future efforts, Li introduced that the Chamber has already established the “China-Japan Meeting Hall · Selection Center” in Chengdu, Sichuan, and is expanding its presence in Chongqing as well as other regions beyond Sichuan and Chongqing. Negotiations are currently underway with Shaanxi, Hubei, Guangzhou, Fujian, Beijing, and other regions.
Founded on May 8, 2015, the Japan Sichuan-Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization composed of business professionals in Japan with ties to Sichuan and Chongqing. Its members are engaged in industries including IT, trade, tourism, elderly care, catering, culture, healthcare, and real estate.

The Japan Sichuan-Chongqing Association Co., Ltd., established by core members of the Chamber, is a dedicated platform promoting cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Sichuan-Chongqing and Japan. Its “Tokyo Sichuan-Chongqing Association Hall” project was officially introduced in Tokyo and Osaka during the “Sichuan Week” at the Osaka World Expo this year. The Hall adopts a “platform + project” model to build a China-Japan experience-sharing, resource-matching, and project-incubation platform.
