In December, winter tightens its grip on Tokyo, with temperatures at times hovering just above freezing. On December 14, 2025, the 2025 Year-End Gathering of the Japan Jilin General Chamber of Commerce was held in Tokyo. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Japan, along with leaders of major Chinese community organizations in Japan, attended the event.Chinese community members from different regions and sectors across Japan came together to review the achievements of the past year through exchange and interaction, and to discuss cooperation and development in the year ahead.



In his address, Xu Yongzhu, President of the Japan Jilin General Chamber of Commerce, noted that over the past year the Chamber has continued to serve as a bridge for Jilin-origin organizations in Japan, actively engaging in economic and trade cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges. He added that in the first half of 2025, the Chamber received 12 delegations from China, and that it will further strengthen communication and cooperation with Chinese community organizations and relevant institutions to create more opportunities for practical collaboration.


Among the guests who attended and delivered remarks were Chen Wei, Minister-Counselor and Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Japan; Yan Hao, President of the Council of the Japan Chinese General Chamber of Commerce; and Zhang Shuming, President of the All-Japan Federation of Chinese Organizations (AJFCO). They spoke highly of the role played by the Japan Jilin General Chamber of Commerce in uniting the Chinese community and promoting exchanges. “The Jilin General Chamber of Commerce is an important member of the All-Japan Federation of Chinese Organizations and one of its core teams,” Zhang Shuming said, affirming the Chamber’s work.

The atmosphere at the event was warm and cordial. He Delun, Chairman of the Board of the Japan Jilin General Chamber of Commerce, remarked that “from the Jilin Fellowship Association more than 20 years ago to today’s Jilin General Chamber of Commerce, it has been a great honor for me, as one of the founders, to witness the Chamber’s steady growth.” During the banquet, Chinese community representatives from Hokkaido, Kyushu and other regions engaged in wide-ranging exchanges.



Throughout the evening, cultural performances were interwoven with networking activities. A traditional ethnic performance by the Japan Chinese Korean Ethnic Art Association, along with songs performed by several singers, added a cultural dimension to the event and highlighted the diversity and inclusiveness of the Chinese community in Japan.


The program also included member interaction activities and a raffle, further strengthening internal cohesion within the Chamber. In his closing remarks, Zhuang Xu, Honorary President of the Japan Jilin General Chamber of Commerce, expressed his best wishes to member enterprises and said that the Chamber will continue to connect resources from various sectors, expand platforms for exchange in the coming year, and promote practical cooperation and shared development within the Chinese community in Japan.
